Thanks Joe.
The Gen II ZX12R is my old (going on 17 years) Sports/Touring bike that's
very smooth and comfy at high speed, being very aerodynamically sound in terms of lack of
turbulence which contributes to its astounding stability. Another contributing
factor to the models stability is its monocoque construction,
which has bulk rigidity... it does not have a frame.
Back in 2017 a delivery driver in a 2 ton van doing a u turn took me out,
pretty much destroying the plastic fairings (which fortunately protected
the important bits). When I fitted the new fairings I omitted all
the graphics, which gives the bike a better look imho.
I dunno how, but the levers and the bar ends got out mostly unscathed.
Work with a millsaw bastard file, wet or dry paper and metal polish
got rid of the scratches and bought them up better than brand new
and gleaming like a "cats arse in the moon light" as one of my Uncles would say.
The photo of the 12 is just a simple, fill the frame, get the exposure in the ball park,
and shoot affair. If I remember correctly I just needed to shoot the single frame.
Then it was a matter of optimizing the detail in post processing.
The beach photo is a much different story, which was all about composition.
I shot 21 frames to get the image presented.
Thanks again Joe for the kind words.
Alan.
