South Texas does not have cold weather every year, but this year our temperature remained below freezing for several days. The last time we had weather this cold was 1983. Prolonged cold weather kills fish and sea turtles but shore birds benefit from an easy meal. What follows are a few examples of wildlife on a cold February morning.
