Franklin's Gull sighting in Florida

Saw this guy today. I thought he looked a little different from the other gulls he was hanging around with. After looking him up, he is not supposed to be anywhere near Florida .....testimony to how crazy this year is for wildlife !
Note the white spots near his wing tips and red beak and legs.

Sony A99, Minolta 500 f8 Reflex, 1/500, f8, ISO 400 hand held, kneeling in late afternoon diffuse light.

Thanks for stopping by and to comment.......Larry

Very Nice. How do you like the A99 with this 500 f8 reflex lens combo ? I have the Minolta AF 500 F8 lens and considering picking up a Sony digital SLR body. Still looking don't know which body would be ideal, as need one with IBIS I guess. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Nicely captured Larry. How did you control the background bokeh? My reflex lens always yields donut bokeh with any background distance.

Thanks......Sony does not make any SLR bodies anymore ! The 500 Reflex is a GREAT lens. The AF with the 99 is a bit slow and finicky but the 99 does have IBIS - but it is an earlier relative crude form.
