and roses.
Before they all become fodder for some macro experimentation, I decided to put the Nikkor 40mm ƒ 2.8 Micro on the D5500 and put the Valentine's bouquet into a daylight environment and see what I could come up with.
I did try using the flash (at 1/32 power), for a few shots, but did not like how "hard" the images seemed with the flash, so I did not include any of those in this series.
All hand-held at ISO 320.
Edits in Affinity photo, (part of my learning activities).
Please feel free to critique and/or comment.

Beautiful roses, beautiful shots. I wouldn't leave the old blooms in the background.
