The Pensacola Bay Bridge has been out of commission since Hurricane Sally in September of last year. The required detour over the Garcon Point Bridge adds a bit of extra drive time, making trips to Pensacola Beach from my part of town not worth while. The family decided we needed to get out on a beautiful 60 degree day and get some fresh air, so we loaded up the truck and made the trek out to Fort Pickens.
Since my family absolutely does not enjoy the quiet solitude of taking time and setting up shots, spending more than 45 seconds in one location, I decided to just take the camera and two lenses with me. I tucked one lens in my sweatshirt pocket and walked around with them stopping every now in then finding some of the less popular compositions from the fort.
Some sort of equipment for ammunition.

Rail to move artillery rounds from the furnace in the courtyard to the battery holds.

I can only guess some sort of weapon mount.

Thanks!
That last one was me jumping out of the truck on the way out of the park trying to get that last light. It lasted maybe 5 minutes, so I have a lot of sporadic shots as I wasn't set up in time.

Thanks Mike. See, we have Florida snow here on the panhandle. Except it doesn't melt
These are nice shots, Tony. Aren't family trips a PITA with family tagging along?
