Thanks Mike. The DOF effect was part of the study to add some perspective to the image. It was interesting that the background shadows area became so dark as I saw in a lesson on backyard portrait photography.

Thanks Joe, it’s both as it’s at least 50 years old and has this type of bark. I look at trees differently now!
