Thanks Ourpoliar. We had quite a bit, then it drifted, so there were deep fun drifts to challenge with out getting stuck!! ha!!

Using Trekking poles with Snow Baskets?
I once stepped into a major snow drift in the Rockies at Taos NM... Scary... waist deep, had to literally swim out...
After that I'm a hardcore believer in Snowshoes...

Yes, the poles came with the snowshoes. Our drifts weren't THAT deep!! I bet that was scary. especially if you are alone. Thanks for commenting. They are always so interesting and full of info!!
