Wow. I've seen icicles wrap around on metal roofs, but not THAT much.
Must have been a cold updraft for a few hours...

As the snow starts to partially melt and SLOWLY slide off the roof, it will curve downward (gravity).
Each bit more that the snow slowly moves, new snow over the edge of the roof will curve downward, pushing the snow (icicles) in front, that are already curved, more "around the corner".
If it doesn't break off, it just keeps curving, as long as it can support the weight.
Theoretically, if the weight doesn't make it break off, the icicles could eventually be pointing up under the eaves.
But the weight would probably make it look more like a "J", as in this picture.
