What is the dude with the knee brace holding?

Were you aware, at the time you took the picture, that the seated man appears to have a bulbous clown nose? I'm not being critical, I think this is a great photo; I just sometimes find things when I edit a photo that I never "saw" when I composed/took the shot. I am wondering if you had the same experience with this photo. I have to say that I am a huge fan of your work and am disappointed on the rare occasions when you don't have a post on UHH.

I am also wondering what the gentleman is holding, if you know.

I did not notice the nose when I first saw the photo but you are correct in that it sure does look to be a bulbous nose. I think though it is really something like a doorknob or similar. Good eyes.

No, never! I second that it is a doorknob as it is too shiny. Have another look.

Thanks, Saxman47. No, I did not notice it until I started editing. I often get surprises like that as there often isn't enough time to really look closely at a situation before taking a shot.
