I'm looking for hotel suggestions for my upcoming photography trip to Yellowstone this June. I'll be flying into Bozman, MT and would like to find a place close to the park in Gardiner, Mt (near the north entrance). thanks
Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel at the north entrance to Yellowstone but that is actually in the park south of Gardiner.
Chico Hot Springs. Close and wonderful.
Check out Wilderness Outfitters. They have rustic cabins, horse rides, zip line. Family owned 1900 ranch of about 1500 acres bordering USFS. You might not want to leave.
We stayed at the Comfort Inn. A good value.
LOVE Yellowstone Gateway Inn. Book directly and they are great to work with! Just spent 10 days with them this month!

I've stayed there a couple times and the well appointed kitchens are great!

Don't delay! Gardiner gets busy! We've spent several weeks in Gardiner the past few years. The local grocery store is pretty good! The crowds get tough in June through Sept, so this year we're going in May. Make sure and check the park site for road closures and delays. Dunraven pass is closed and road construction at the Old Faithful exit is not good!

Sorry, Wilderness Connections
Another vote for Chico Hot Springs resort. Very close to Gardiner and the Park. Wonderful food offerings at reasonable prices. They have a day spa, a hot spring-fed pool free for guests, hiking trails, saloon area. horse riding available. Rooms seem a bit dated, no tv in them, but wifi is fine. No elevator but it's only 2 floors. Surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Depends on your budget and activity plans. I've stayed at the super 8, good value. I have also stayed at the Big Rock Inn, elevator, big rooms, good value, but I just sleep there and not very long at that either. I"m in the park!!! The Mammoth Hotel is great, but 30's style, located where all the park info and action starts. Don't forget to check out the Yellowstone Forever Institute, located near the Arch just before the Entrance. You can get all kinds of useful info on recent sites for wolves etc.

FYI Mammoth Hotel had a $30 million dollar renovation in 2019. It looked pretty nice from the outside this past September when we were camped in Yellowstone
