Pat, At one time I repaired flat panel TV's(Among other electronics). The older TV's had a CFL panel of lights that needed to be removed for recycling. There was a Frosted white panel and a thicker black panel that needed to be removed to get to the lights. I have used those two panels for various projects over the years. Check your TV repair shops in your area and see if they know what I'm talking about, and can get you something out of a burnt up TV.

Thanks for the tip. (I just ordered one from an online seller since I don't have access to old TV part)

Pat you might try an Art supplier store like "HOBBY LOBBY or MICHEAL's" got a white one from Hobby Lobby a few years ago. The derecho wiped ours out and didn't reopen here. Just a thought.

Michaels had none and we have no hobby lobby. Home Depot and other office type supply stores were really $$$$

Also tried some snowflakes using extension tubes. Still need practice in finding just the right field of focus...

Your image has a pleasing Je ne sais quo!

I'm not a big fan of the square format, however imho it works
well here.

Meet the "Beast" - Nikon's 70-200mm f/2.8 Z lens! After a less than satisfying experience of shooting our belated Christmas program with the much slower 24-200 I finally broke down and got the 70-200 which will work so much better when shooting in the difficult lighting at our church along with other low light applications. It's heavy and long - 50 ounces and 8.9" long and the camera/lens weight is a tad over 5 pounds. But ... it's outstanding! Here are a few early shots using it.

Good for you. I got the "E" version last fall, it is a great lens, and I hear that the "Z" version is even better.

From what I understand the Z lens is the best of the 70-200s and they're all great lenses.
