Bird ID, Please

These photos were taken today at Gilbert Riparian Preserve in Gilbert, AZ. My first reaction was a house finch or purple finch, but I don't know - doesn't seem to match closely with either. Pine Grosbeak? Red Crossbill? Suggestions welcome.
