You did not say what the problem was.
For example, I have a used sony A-65 that was funky. Polishing the SD and Battery contacts took care of the problem. Polishing consisted of putting the SD and Battery in and out of the camera many times.

Some cameras need firmware updates, if the firmware had bugs, or has gotten glitched.

Some cameras have internal memory batteries just like your computer... these batteries hold the settings independent of the big batteries. Such requires removing the case. Draw the screw placement on cardboard and punch small holes to hold the screws so they go back in where they came out. For less than $20you can buy an excellent small screwdriver kit.
