Excellent shots as always. Are these recent? Keep it up my friend. One of my best friends (Brutus) died late yesterday. He was one of our two dogs. We will be taking him to vets first thing this morning to be cremated. I loved that dog and will surely miss him. Thanks and Be Safe

I thought I was going to start shooting some high school sports like football, but no way it's going to happen. The kids from a couple of private schools are going to travel to play in different states. Man oh man...

SAD! Hang in there it could still happen. I can't wait for (baseball, G. soccer, and G/B track and field) to start. I think they will, but not sure on how they plan to do it. Hopefully I will still be able to get onto all the fields up close like I usually do. Time will tell. Our school board and the state Athletics Administrators to a certain extent are a little the ignorant side sometimes. We will see. Hang in there my friend maybe things will work out. Keep posting your photos though, Love it. Thanks and BE SAFE!

Absolutely amazing as always Jules...
Wonderful collection of epic soccer action... So many superb pivotal moments beautiful capture!
Loving the aerial Keeper capture... so surreal... so enigmatic!

btw, the last three (including the aerial Keeper) are with your D4 and AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8...
Sorry but I always look to see what works... Especially since I'm totally lame at sports.
Thus I study your work Jules as well as all other soccer efforts so I can grow my game...
Sports is certainly not my signature genre... struggle with it since fashion and beauty offer little practice for same.

Jules the 1918 "Spanish" influenza pandemic caused by the H1N1 virus lasted 25 months... The SARS-CoV-2 virus (Covid-19) which is actually is closely related to the H1N1 virus has only lasted 14 months... Guessing base on the H1N1 it could be another year before Covid-19 burns itself out for want of vulnerable hosts... albeit the vaccines may shorten the time for "Herd Immunity"

Jules have you considered migrating to "Lifestyle Sports"?

Lifestyle sports are now being widely embraced by individuals who have been alienated by traditional school-based and institutional sport practices.

Likely the most seminal example is (and has been for decades) Surfing, in which now over 60% of those learning this lifestyle sport are femaleā€¦ Downhill skiing is another epic lifestyle sport that has seen a steady increase in popularity. Downhill Skiing offers some surreal photo-opportunities!

You might look into Lee Canyon Ski and Snowboard Resort, officially known "Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort," located in Lee Canyon, 35 miles northwest of Las Vegas in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. As of today they had over 20 inches of snow!

Timing is everything! a.k.a. if life gives you a lemon, why not make lemonade!
