color and B&W

Here are sets of pictures of photos that have been changed to B&W. The first two show little change but there is still enough to see a difference but not enough to get excited over.The third set gives a little more of a difference to judge. The fourth set has a little more substance to work with and if you look close you will see that most of the wine is gone. The last set is what I do to feed my artistic needs which are complicated.All this started by watching a program where an expert worked on a group of photos and I noticed the first thing he did with almost every one was to crop. see the last set.

A great deal of the quality of the results hinges upon the method of converting the color image to a black and white image.

I love the wine glass composition and the rocking chair. Color or B&W, they're outstanding
