We had a dusting of snow down in Alabama and very cold temps Monday/Tuesday, My feeder was pretty full and I could not believe the number of Cardinal pairs ( at least 10 that I counted ) that congregated outside our kitchen window around the feeder. I realize that these picts may be suboptimal by many of your standards as all were shot through a double pane window with my Z50 and the 50-250mm lens, so please don't critique the picture quality, just enjoy the number of RedBirds!!!! Actually the autofocus worked pretty good though I resorted to manual focus toward the end. Finally the small birds moved back in and the Cardinal population dropped. I can't imagine where all these birds came from.
I wouldn't criticize these photos at all. for shooting thru double-pain windows in the winter, I think they are great. Lucky you to have all of these beautiful birds outside your window.
Hope it warms up soon for you and the birds.

Great job. Its not often I see a Bluebird in the snow
With all this freezing weather I don't blame them for finding the nearest feeder! Thanks for sharing.

Good shots of beautiful birds. I live in Gadsden and I never see Cardinals, Bluebirds, Blue Jays, Chickadees, none of the birds I had in Tn. I had over 40 different species up there and NONE down here. Send some my way. I'm having bird withdrawals!

So nice to invite some feathered friends over for a feast! They really brighten up an otherwise dreary and/or snowy day! Thanks for sharing!
Wow, you sure had a mess of them. Nice job shooting through a window.

It looks like the reps are on a constant lunch brake. Great series!
