Okay, I'll admit that this is a bit strange and many may wonderder, "What the heck am I looking at?"
Well, it's some of the feet a Dogbane Beetle which are among my favorites for their lovely deep metallic blue/green flip-flop color which changes based on the temperature of the light and how the light strikes it.
Insect feet are highly specialized over the hundreds of millions of years to serve them in their environment in search of food, mating and survival. In addition to the hooks and claws many have evolved with fine hair covered pads that when the insect exudes a fine oil creates a fluid surface tension of each diameter of a hair that helps them adhere to slick surfaces including the ability to "walk on glass" as well as walk upside down on surfaces. This method also helps stay the insect to keep if from blowing away in the winds that blow around them.
Actually quite interesting.

Thanks, UTMike. Trying to make the most out of what I have.
Thanks, I have several lenses and objectives so I feel the need to mix them up a bit.

Excellent Sippy. Lots of effort into getting a shot like this. Yes, the deep blues and greens really make this image.

Thanks, and it does take a bit of manipulation to get the portion of the subject aligned as I want for the ever so slightest touch moves completely out of view of the lens in one way or another.

Haha! Not what I expected until saw you were the poster. As usual, excellent detail and sharp as a tack. Well done and thanks for sharing.
Reminds me of a wash mitt for my car.
As excellent as it is beautiful! So you really think that created itself by random chance, over time?
