App to connect iPhone to computer

Due to home router bandwidth issues my wife and I cannot use Zoom for meetings at the same time. To reduce the load I am looking for an app that will connect the camera to my MacBook Pro by usb, hopefully reducing the load on our server.I have tried Iriun webcam and EpoCam, but they only function as web cams, not recognizing the usb.

Thanks for ideas in advance.

So much wrong with that entire statement.

First, you need to identify if it you are having issues with your router/wifi or with your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Doing a speed test with a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable (not wifi) will give you a good idea how much bandwidth your ISP is providing to you broken up into upload/download speeds. If that is the issue, call your ISP and upgrade your internet package or have them come out and troubleshoot if you aren't getting near the speeds you are paying for.

If it's a router issue, find someone that is savvy with networking to check your DNS, Gateway, IPv4 settings. There are just too many variables to play the question/answer game on this forum.

If it's a wifi issue (separate from the router, I promise) - Again, which bands are you currently using (802.11G, 802.11N, 802.11AC) and are they overlapping with wifi signals from your neighbors. 802.11() gets crowded very fast if people aren't paying attention in close proximity, and it turns into every wifi network is causing interference with the others.

TL;DR - Simply shifting from one device to another will not alleviate the problems of being able to use video conferencing simultaneously, and it's most likely a weak/degraded wifi signal or poor bandwidth from your ISP.
