Sydney, Nova Scotia in 2011 – St. George’s Church

In summer 2011 my church Choir made a concert tour with a cruise of the St. Lawrence River and Atlantic Ocean from Montreal, Quebec to Boston, Massachusetts. One of the port calls was at Sydney, Nova Scotia. I had the opportunity to visit the St. George’s Church there and get a few photos. Our organist, also on the tour, did play the Casavant organ in the church, but I wasn’t there at the time (bummer!). Very little PP has been done to improve these photos, so be kind.

Beautiful historical images! They look great and don't seem to need post-processing.

MFTVGirl, thank you very much. I usually at least correct perspective now.

Thanks, Jay. I like your photos, too.

Great captures and renderings. That Cassavant is small and looks quite old, but fits the size of the church. Thanks for sharing. Please stay safe.

Thank you very much. I do wish I'd heard Mary play that instrument. I do have power and heat, so the cats and I are OK.

Nice details of a very different (to my eyes) looking organ David.

A smaller, simpler place - and yet stunning and beautiful in its own way - as well as your always awesome shots
