There was a bike race back in May on a very misty day. The hum of the tires as all the bike went by our house out in the country sounded like a large swarm of bees going overhead. I give alot of credit to these people that do stuff like this. Plus it gives me something to photograph! Thanks.
Tour De Frankenmuth bike race

Since only the bikers are out of focus, I would guess a slow shutter speed was used to give the sense of speed.
I'm thinking that's where the expression COLDER than Hell comes from since there is snow on the ground!
On the 3rd shot how do you get that tron effect? Very cool.

yes i have scientific proof that hell has indeed frozen over. Also I can testify to the fact that the road to hell is paved with asphalt. all the time I was there never saw a good intention
it's in one of the photo programs I use...and I can't remember right now what the exact name was for the technique...but I just changed the color for it..I think it was heatseeking or something like that. Sorry. I'm old and forget things.

So Sinatraman, Terry, you both are from Michigan, eh?
I was born here and went to SC as a youth, and came back in 2001. I sure hate the winters up here, and every year when the snow flies, I ask myself what was I thinking? But then I look at my wife, and the answer becomes crystal clear to me once again.
My wife's mother used to love it when we would take her to Frankenmuth for the "Famous Fried Chicken" at Bronners? It's been a while since we went there, her mom used to love to go to the Christmas shop at Bronners too. Last year some punks did over $15000 worth of vandalism to that store, and got caught. When they had their day in court, Mr. Bronner asked the court for leniencey as he forgave them and said "that is the Christian thing to do". Nice guy...

I love that shot of the Macinac bridge. Perfect timing with the gulls too.
The fog really gives that scene some snap too.

LOL, unfortunately Elias Bro's sold the franchise, but the Big Boy is still as good. We have one down the road from us, and we go there occasionally.
The boys were teen punks, there was some satanic grafiti I am told the boys wrote, but if I'm not mistaken, Mr. Bronner spoke to them before their sentencing. Like you, I was quite touched that he turned the other cheek like that, I hope it spoke to the boys, and God get's the glory from this and turns it around for good as He alone is able to do.
It's good to see a fellow believer here.
