On the latest update of Photoshop, the Export As function stopped working properly. I get an error message saying the image was exported but not all metadata transferred. What's happening is that it's stripping off part of the copyright information, which was there before the export.
Has anyone run into this and found a solution? I know I can use Save for Web, but that's a bit slower.
When you opened a technical support chat with Adobe, what did they say?

Kind of expected that comment - didn't take long.

One of the few times when what I would usually consider a useless response is dead on.
It is a new release and a new issue. Naturally one would think, under these circumstances, that one would go to the vendor who knows the product before going to the experience pool since the issue would likely be new to the experience pool as well.
If the product and issue were long standing, then the response would be irritating. In this case it seems appropriate.
OP, Please let us all know what Adobe says. The OP is now the experienced one on this issue.
There is a checkbox to indicate what to do with metadata, whether to strip it or preserve copyright. Maybe double check it to make sure it is selected. I haven't exported since yesterdays update, I'll try it later.

Never use export as but save as... Just saying.
Export as has severe limitations that saves as does not have.

Gave it a try with this file. Export as with the copyright box checked.

Is this a new box with the update?
The first thing I would do is go into the preferences menu and see what can be done there to make the export behave the way I want it to. It is quite possible that the latest update inadvertently altered that particular preference option. Generally software updates shouldn't do that, but from my experience, it does happen now and then.

No, always there near the convert to srgb checkbox and the imbed color profile checkbox, but photoshop remembers your last setting so its easy to forget about since you don't have to click it every time.
The only big change in the (double 21.2.5 and 22.2) update(s) three days ago seems to have been something about inviting collaborators. Is there something in this collaboration that affects export?

What are the limitations? With save as you have to convert the color profile as a separate step.

Good question. Not what the OP was asking about, but a good question.

Thanks rook - I had the preferences set for contact and copyright.

I don't think collaboration would have any impact on export.
