You-all are good at identifying birds. Is this a Red-Shouldered Hawk pair?

Thanks to each of you for your prompt reply. I now know which hawks build nearby.

Hawks in Flight by Dunne, Sibley and Sutton. Dunne use to write a birding column for the NYT.

The one on the right appears to be a female.

From watching them for a short while, I think you are correct that the one on the right is the female. She didn't fly, but the male flew twice while I was watching. I was in my car and didn't attempt to get out to get the shot!

It is really the coloration. The male is more red while the female is more subdued. In the bird world, males are more colorful, perhaps to attract females, while females have quieter colors, perhaps to avoid predators.
Take a look a peacocks and peahens.
