Google is your friend....

We’ve all heard this before. Google has become a verb.
But some of us don’t use Google, preferring search engines that don’t track everything we look at, like DuckDuckGo.
How do we make DuckDuckGo into a verb? Using it straight seems cumbersome to me. “I’m going to Duck that” sends the wrong message.
And there are other search engines out there. Do they all need their own verb?

I’m stuck at home with sore joints after getting my vaccine shots yesterday.

I'm stuck at home with sore joints too, haven't had my vaccine! Just old age.
I'm going to DuckDuckGo it,
Just like someone would Google it.
A noun and a verb. Simple, but more cumbersome.
I think using three words (DuckDuckGo) makes it difficult to overcome the general use of the word Google. Years ago Microsoft had the right idea and tried to change the terminology to "Bing". Two things that really led to that failure is 1)It wasn't a good search engine, and 2)I'm going to "BING" it didn't sound right...LOL
But I think it's one of those things where we have a great search engine in DuckDuckGo, just not the greatest implementation in the naming.
The young among us use DDG.

If Bing came out first and became popular way ahead of Google, I imagine we would be Binging things.
DuckDuckGo is simply too cumbersome even though it is only one more syllable that Google. Google flows.

And I'm thankful every day for the fact M$ wasn't able to ruin yet another core user function....
They were decades late to that game as Yahoo, Mozilla, AskJeeves, and some others I simply forgot about were carving out niche indexing services. Their dirty tactics were enough to run Netscape out of the browser business, but Google was just too large by the time they tried win that game.
I am more than happy to start the "
Go Duck It!!! trend. I think it's catchy in multiple ways, so it has a little more staying power than "Bing It", and it's a much better engine to search on.

My wife & I had our 1st Vaccine shots yesterday and we didn't have any reactions from it at all.
We had an MD. tell us to take vitamins D3, C, and Zinc. to build up our resistance.
We also take a multi-vitamin silver. I suspect that the vitamins we have taken over the past months are probably the cause of our non reactions.

And he got that information from DuckDuckGo!!! "He Ducked It!!!"

I've been using Mozilla since they were Netscape! Still love it (them).
I use Firefox exclusively, only checking Chrome and Edge to make sure my website changes work there also since I hand code.

Google search histories are like Herpes. They're forever. Google keeps EVERYTHING. DuckDuckGo is the way to go.

My apologies LS, when I mentioned Mozilla, I meant the Mozilla Open Directory Project (DMOZ-ODP.org) which was manually curated. I did some volunteering under the music/drum categories for many years as a side-hobby. I believe the project is now defunct due to lack of use and participation.
