It made Trump feel powerful to incite such outrage and destructive actions in his cult—a cult that feeds his needy ego and eases his insecurities. He reveled in the assault. He publicly told the i**********n participants that “We love you” after they disrespected democracy.
The man has mental problems. He is like any insecure bully and con-man.

You seriously think 18 Republican Senators will grow a spine against Trump? I can hope, but realistically it won't happen. It will have nothing to do with Trump's actions, but more to do with fear of his base. What Trump brought on this country will hopefully fade. Trump has done all that he could for over 4 years to incite hatred and division and to spur the growth of Rightwing radicals to historic levels. Make no mistake about it, he alone is responsible for the actions of these so called "patriots" that attack the US Capital on J****** 6th, 2021.

From what I see, it's a forgone conclusion that T***p w*n't be convicted. He certainly should be and in a fair trial with an impartial jury, he would be. How sad it truly is that the GOP has given up on America, The Constitution, and what was once the greatest country in the world to align itself with a miscreant who belongs in prison.
