I have a Canon 7d and did something that I have a full grid in my view finder. It's in aperture priority with the focus single in the middle. What did I hit by accident need to remove
Thanks

The answer is in your manual.

Can't find your manual? The answer is online. Google is your friend (or maybe DuckDuckGo).
You turned on grid view for the viewfinder. Just browse thru all your menu settings and you'll find it. You should browse often so that you learn where all the different important choices are so that you know where they are when you need them.

And what's available for your camera to do, or not.

I keep the grid view on all the time on my 7DII. This serves a couple of purposes. First, it is useful in composing shots (rule of thirds). Second, it's helpful in creating hand-held panoramas, as it helps in keeping the horizon in the same place.
I use the grid as part of my landscape program and have reregistered as #1 on my camera.
probably a function button - but why turn it off?

Is this type of comment really necessary on on forum for all to feel free to ask questions. I encourage all beginners to feel free to ask any question. Some items are tough to find in extensive menus.

If a person can't ask questions like this on this forum, where can they ask? Or is the answer to that also in a manual? If you can't be
bothered to give a useful answer to a question ("look in the manual" or "google it" are NOT useful) then simply don't
bother answering.
People ask questions here on the assumption (an assumption which is obviously flawed given that kind of useless response) that the site has knowledgeable photographers willing to share their knowledge.
If you are not willing to share, maybe you should stay silent.

Or ask your question at a site where photographers are kindly willing to share their knowledge.
