I saw an article that Nikon is expected to introduce two new DSLRs in 2021, one a replacement for the D850. However, I have not seen what the other one will be. Has anyone seen some information on the other DSLR?

New ??? Surely upgrades that raise one digit in existing model numbers. Not a bad thing, but SLRs are all done being new since approximately the D700/800 and the Canon 5 series.

I do look forward upgrades of various systems that I use. I never buy the new upgrade. I buy the “recently displaced” model after about 2 or more price drops (an 18 to 24 month delay).

I won’t buy each displaced model, as they happen too closely in time. I buy maybe the alternating (“every other”) displaced models, so I’m very often using 5 to 7 years old tech and it still seems fresh and almost new to me :-)

Yeah, not a great deal of info either. Usually not a bad source and I didn't find newer.

I’ve got more invested in F mount lenses than in 4 Nikon bodies including a D850 and D500. I would purchase a dslr with an improved AF system before getting into a whole new mirrorless system. I know F mount lenses work on Z bodies with the FTZ adapter, but everything I read says AF is 1/2 speed compared to AF on a dslr body. I might consider a Z body if Nikon brings out a faster FTZ adapter.

I can say, with almost absolute certainty, that there may be some announcements in 2021!

I subscribe to your camera buying philosophy. I picked up a great buy on a D810 when the D850 was announced and people were dumping them to get money for the D850. I've been thinking of upgrading to a D850 and look forward to seeing the prices drop.

Canon has ZERO new DSLRs planned for 2021. Nor does Sony. That should tell you some things about Nikon's understanding of the mirrorless market.

Says a Nikon hater with absolutely no facts to back up his statement!

I asked a simple question and am dumbfounded by the number of posts that are totally unresponsive.

Some of us buy cameras when we are going on a trip or have a need for a particular use. Some of us don't need to pinch pennies and buy new gear rarely so we try to buy the most advanced that we can afford. Some of us wear polarized sunglasses and can't use mirrorless screens. Some of us don't think mirrorless meets our needs. Some of us are perfectly happy with DSLR and don't want to buy a whole new set of lenses. Some of us like Nikon as opposed to Canon.

Some of us are tired of pointless posts. I actually have a technical question but wonder why should I bother to post it if I am not going to get a helpful answer.

Although a bit tongue-in-cheek, I stand by my previous statement which was meant to mean "Who, outside of the walls of Nikon, really knows?" I would suspect they're may be an announcement or two, but I can't really say, nor can anyone else outside of the company. Sorry, but we all will have to wait and see. I'm pretty happy with the gear I already own. Both an upgraded DSLR and Mirrorless rumor have their supporters, but who really knows. Best of luck.
