I know this is going to be irrelevant to many of you but I have been using Nikon cameras and lenses for more than 55 years and only once I had a camera and a lens repaired during that time. I still own a 1963 Nikon F and it still perform like new.
I am very satisfied with Nikon. A few years ago I bought an Olympus mirrorless camera and I have been very happy with Olympus also.
I have no plans to sell my Nikons and go to another dSLR system.

Nikon is a very large company, the camera division is only one part. If Nikon camera's are NOT selling, other parts of the business makes up the difference.
If the Nikon Camera division does well, then the whole does well.
Nikon in recent years has put more money into R&D, those efforts are starting to bear fruit. The new Z9 could be a game changer for Nikon in the mirrorless camera world, designed to compete against the Canon R5 and Sony a1, it may be another winner for Nikon.
Let me be clear, over the years I have shot Nikon, Canon, Sony, Hasselblad, Rollie, Kowa, Konica, Minolta, and many others, I embrace COMPETITON, it drives new and improved products.
I am hoping Canon, Nikon, Sony, and all the other brands good luck, HEALTHY COMPANY COMPETITION will result in better products for all of us.

That's good but are their Z cameras equal to Canon and Sony? Even long time Nikon fanboy Ken Wheeler doesn't think so.
KW has not been a Nikon fanboy for a few years now. He is a Fuji fanboy now. I don't criticize him for that because I consider myself a Fuji fanboy. Even though I think he is full of S----- I still watch his videos whenever they are about gear.
I am not sure, in a lot of cases, the price of a company's stock is an indication of the financial health of the company. Example: Recent speculation in Gamestop.

There is a great deal of irrational exuberance throughout the stock markets, nothing unique to Nikon stock.

This is one answer that makes good sense. Like Bill, I have used several brands over my career, but settled into Nikon with the F5. Competition is good for all as it drives development. I am comfortable with Nikon's long term possibilities as of now. I've been working my Z6 into my overall routines but don't use it for everything that I do. I do not participate in 'brand wars'. Best of luck.

He will do anything to boost YouTube numbers, just like the Northups and so many other bloggers. I could not care less about his reviews but I like his models.
It doesn't mean much.
It does mean if investors think any company is near the bottom...they buy.

From what if read, even here, canon has 1 mirrorless body that stands out. The rest are mediocre at best.

Yeah, Matt Granger is a shil for KEH. I've had KEH give me prices for mint used gear and they are extremely low. No way would Matt accept those kind of prices for his equipment. He is either being paid more in order to put in a good word for KEH or the sale of his gear to KEH is faked for advertising purposes.

I try to watch him now and then but can't ever sit through an entire video. Full of S__T is an under statement.
I think Fuji is respectable especially their large form cameras.
I owned a Fuji S2 early on...great image quality but slower than molasses in winter. Sold it and got a D70. After many Nikon iterations and other top brands, settled in with Sony and am more than happy. The D850 was the nail in the coffin for me.

I have used KEH over the years and more recently MPB. Yes you can get more selling to an individual if willing to suffer the hassles, scams and risks that go along with it.
Gear on the shelf is worth nothing but 45% of the original retail value is money toward the next purchase.
I'll continue to use KEH and MPB.
