Interesting! My main distaste for a lot of HDR that I see is its exaggeration rather than its use in pulling detail that the camera can't do in one shot. Your first shot may have been brightened just a smidgeon beyond what the eye would've seen (though I may be wrong) but it may also have been exactly what was there. The second seems more natural to me - a little less unnaturally bright - and consequently makes me think you've really accomplished what I think HDR's all about. Also the ripple on the water really makes the shot and it seems more complete to me. I think this is a really good picture.

Thanks Mike, I agree with you in regard to over processing. I do try to keep it as natural looking as I can. Appreciate your comment as I am still on an HDR learning curve... :)
