Frigid Scenes This Afternoon

We woke up to a blanket of snow this morning. I had to run some errands this afternoon - luckily the roads were clear. While out I took a short drive out north of town and grabbed a couple of shots with the Lumix ZS100. This was a very gray day so I had to liven these up a bit with some adjustments in Levels.

That tree once had a full canopy that hung out over the road to the left. At some point it was either broken off or was cut off, giving it the look of a tree shaped by strong southerly winds during its life.
