I posted on 1/31/21 how frustrated I was not being able to nail the focus on my subjects, especially small birds. I appreciate everyone's input, especially Paul in helping me sort this out. I promised to follow-up with some photos. Here are the results. Some of the things I changed were using either single or expanded AF with single point and 4 points; and a better understanding how BBF works. In particular, holding the BBF while taking a burst of photos got me some nice shots. Again, thank you!!!
Wow... These are really sharp in dl, Fran. Good job.

Very sharp photos, especially in download.
Very nice. Practice with digital doesn't cost anything but time. And the time you spend is usually quite enjoyable.

Excellent photos Fran,
I just recently switched to BBF myself and I have found that my keeper rate is much higher now.

You received great advice and you did a great job on these birds. I've used BBF for years and it now feels unnatural to shoot any way else.

Beautiful set! Paul and you make a great team.
Happy to hear your success! (I doubt I am the Paul you mean.)
