Not only interesting but also somewhat emotionally moving. At least, that's the way I felt.

Oddly, I just developed a roll of film this morning. I still have that sense of wonder when I pull the film from the wash and see images neatly spaced along a couple of feet of plastic substrate.

I developed tons of film, but never used a pre-wash before the developer like this guy does. Whatever works. Extremely interesting video. If I was him, I would develope one roll at a time, not three, in case something went wrong only one roll would be ruined. Thanks for this video....very historic.

I always do a prewash (5 minutes) constant agitation. The first time I did that, I was surprised at the amount of anti-halation coating was washed off, especially medium and large format film.

Very interesting and touching video. The project takes an incredible amount of time, effort and money. What dedication!

I did too, especially for 120 and 4x5 film. The pour off was nearly black.

I am lucky enough to have inherited a number of original Kodak boxes containing color and B&W slides that were shot by my mother's younger brother who was a B-17 pilot with the 8th Air Force in England. After flying many missions over Germany and receiving two Purple Hearts and a Distinguished Flying Cross, his plane, the Miss Smith (named after his mother's maiden name), received much damage from anti-aircraft fire on its return flight. He finally gave orders to his crew to bail out and he continued to try to nurse his damaged plane back to behind Allied lines but did not make it and went down with his plane. I have scanned and processed many of these slides using PSE and am including a few here.

Great shots. Reminds me of the photos my Dad took. He was also a B-17 driver. But all of his were B&W.

Amazing - after 70 years they can still pull images off the film; irreplaceable.

He was a real hero and I'm sorry he didn't make it. Thanks for these pictures.
