Since we are playing "what if", the delivery person would be better off delivering to a 'wrong address' and then taking a package rather than delivering it to the correct address and stealing it. But again, "what if" is probably not as smart as the common thief.

Unlike you I'm not trying to debate or ridicule. I made a simple observation that a picture does not prove delivery if the item is removed after the photo is taken.

A simple observation is that the package was delivered and a picture was taken. There would be room for a possible debate if the picture was not taken (Schrödinger's cat).

Most of the time my packages come and I get a picture.
Amazon has the drivers in some areas do that so that the customer can't claim it was not delivered since amazon has proof that it was even if it is not the right place.

Yes, the last time amazon delivered a package. It was a good thing they included the photo because I had to go looking for the package.

I am in the UK and had this type of delivery several times from both amazon and other delivery companies. Seems to be the new way.

No. Have never had a problem with them, but I think photos are a good idea
