We live in Pettis County Mo. and were able to sign up for the shot on Tuesday and they called back within the hour got ours on 2/3/2021 at 2:30 pm

That was very quick! In my locale most places you could get the vaccine are booked solid and not taking any more reservations at the moment.

Our county health department announced a few days ago that starting at 9:00 am or later yesterday they would start making reservations for people 75 and older. I got on the internet at about 6:00 am and they were open and already booked out at least a week. My wife and I were able to make appointments to get vaccinated on Valentines Day, the 14th.

We arrived in Florida, from NY, on Monday, Jan 11th. The next day we were in BB&B when a friend called and said, “Get over to Clubhouse 1 and sign up for the shots. We ran over ASAP. We got our shots that Friday and Saturday. Second shots will be the 12th & 13th.
I’m glad we didn’t have to wait in NY.

I find it strange that many people have travelled to Florida and received COVID -19 vaccine while many people cannot get the vaccine in their home state. How and why has Florida been able obtain the vaccine and inoculate so many? My wife and I are over 70, have underlying conditions and cannot get an injection because there is insufficient supply for our area. We have made a few requests for the vaccine.

We didn't come to FL to get the vaccine. We just happened to be at the right place at the right time.
We have a condo that we come down to around this time every year.

Why are you having to wait until April for a second shot? I thought the time lapse was 3 weeks.
Got my 1st on Wednesday and the second scheduled for three weeks to the day.
