This site should have a warning posted on every page. "Warning: this forum can be hazardous to people with little or no willpower." I just ordered a D600. How can you blame me? Every other post is about someone who just ordered either a D800 or a D600. It seems there's even a club for people who have two D800s, and they're planning a trip to Yellowstone.

I got another D7000 a few weeks ago so I could maintain my balance, with one on each shoulder in my OP/Tech Dual Sling. Now I'll have to sell a D7000 and a couple of lenses, turn off the heat in half the house, and take cold showers to make up for the $2,600 I just spent. I even cancelled a dental appointment for next week. Camera or teeth? Camera or teeth? Easy choice.

I just hope I can sneak out to the UPS truck when it arrives on Tuesday. I'd hate for my wife to find out about this.

I added up all the things I bought as a result of learning how essential they are by reading about them on UHH. The total expense comes to around $9,000! And that doesn't even include the Mac computers I bought because you told me to. What are you people trying to do to me?

On the other hand, I can't wait till Tuesday morning.

Try my trick - have your wife in the bathroom when the UPS truck comes.

Then put the D600 in the garage for a few days. When she sees it say "That old thing? -- it's been out here for ages."

I really love it when I can blame someone else for twisting my arm. Besides, who needs teeth anyway when there are such lovely soup kitchens around, lol.
Can't wait til I see some lovely pictures posted here ;)

You're assuming Jerry can let it sit for two days in the garage without idle tampering from curious fingers.

OK, keep the D600 in the bag and put the D7000 in the D600 box in the garage.

Jerry!! When you do things like this it makes me want to bite the bullet. But ny D-7000 is barley broken in. Happy shooting with your new toy. Get some pictures posted ASAP. 'O' good luck with the better half.

It's better than that. She's settled in the living room, and I'm in the TV Room with the computers and TV. When I hear that distinctive UPS sound, I walk out the side door and meet him at the end of the driveway. Fortunatley, he never comes into our driveway. Having him ring the bell and say there's a package to be signed for is not a good situation.

As the reviews have said, the D600 looks just like the D7000. As far as my wife's concerned, it could be a D4 or a D40, and they would be the same.

Make no mistake, my wife has a very active account on Amazon, and I don't care what she buys. When my wife does find out about some recent purchase, she doesn't mind at all. As long as we can eat three times a day, and the power doesn't get turned off, we're OK.

It will be open before I get from the UPS truck to the house!

You DON'T get rid of a D7000 and some lenses! You GET another D600 and some MORE lenses! That's the way to stay balanced!

Uh, oh! Suspicions confirmed. My computer is letting people on the other end read my mind. How else could you know what I was thinking?

I like having two cameras - just in case - and it's convenient to go out with a tele on one and a W/A on the other. A D7000 and a D600 will fit the bill. Eventually, I might get a used or refurb D600, but I certainly don't want three DSLRs. I also have to think about getting an FX lens or two - and buying more lottery tickets.
