You do not specify the mount. Regardless, this is a very large and heavy lens. The Sony E-mount version, for instance, weighs 950g. Compare that to the highly rated Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 G lens that weighs only 373g. You might find comparable Canon or Nikon lenses as well.

Art version? It's a beauty of a lens, likely the brightest, sharpest 20mm ever built. Water resistant housing and all glass optics. This lens leaves nothing at all on the table in build quality, nor optical quality.
If you meant the original, non Art, version, it wasn't much to brag about, lots of corner distortion but nicely sharp in the middle.
I have one that I use with my Canon 5dIII. It is heavy, but not something I'm concerned about as much as a quality product which it definitely is. Had mine for 2-3 years and if I were in the market to replace it, I'd probably get the same again.
Yes, this is the Sigma 20mm 1.4 DG HSM ART for Nikon
I have the 18-- 35 Sigma Art lens for my Nikon crop cameras. Great optics. You should be pleased with it.
I have the e-mount Sony. It’s an outstanding lens, very sharp, but I don’t use it as much as I thought I would, it’s big and heavy enough that I don’t often pack it in my kit. Have yet to try it for Astro but it had outstanding ratings.
Decided to go ahead and buy this lens. Got it for $450 out the door.

That is a really good price if it is indeed the Art lens, I bought one used a couple of years back for about $600. Currently it sells for $900 new. Super sharp lens, but I find I don't use it much, I bought mine for night photography and never really took it up, but there is always tomorrow.
