I see there is at least one other UHH member who has traveled to the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh Wisconsin. An incredible experience for anyone who loves aircraft.
These two photos were taken at Oshkosh just a couple years ago. The first is the Blue Angels 'Farvel', a pass made at just under 400 knots with the jets in their 'dirtiest' configuration..... gear and tailhook down. It is an amazing tribute to the true skill of these pilots and the unbelievable precision control of the FA18 Hornet. The second is the 'Echelon' formation..... remarkably close quarters.
Both taken with 7D Mk ii, Canon 100-400L IS, f8 at 1/500th and 1/640th of a second respectively.
Great set, the timing on the 1st is excellent.

Thank you! Probably my favorite airshow photo.
Great captures and renderings of the "Angels" Please stay well and keep on sharing.
Great shots of a fabulous team. When I was in the Air Force we used to say that the Blue Angels flew closer together and the Thunderbirds flew closer to the ground. I took a photo at Seymour Johnson probably fifty years ago where one of the base fire engines was out next to the runway and one of the T-Birds was actually lower than the top of the fire truck. Incredible skill.

Thank you.... and I totally agree with your assessment of both teams. I love to watch them both!
Precision flying at its finest!
