I have not been out photographing the beautiful winter scenes very much this year because of improved health, I get cold much faster and easier. However, yesterday there was no wind to speak of, the sun was playing hide and seek, and the bay in Frankfort, MI, along the shores of Lake Michigan was just beautiful with some newly formed ice on it. I was still able to feel my fingers after I took a few shots, so I wasn't frozen.

I love this photo. Beautiful, I love light houses also. I have a shot kinda like this looking behind bench, snow, and lake in front. This mine not even close to your photo but kinda the same shot. Thanks post more when you can.

I like yours too. Snow can be so interesting photographically.

Very good. Love the bench in the foreground, showing depth.

Beautifull! I too really like the composition. Leaving just a corner of the bench really lets the lighthouse be the center of attention. The dune grass gives it a really nice ambience.
Nice shot. :

Edit: Framing the LH with the strands of grass is a nice touch.

I like your photograph. It is framed on the right by the corner of the bench and on the left by the grasses. Well done.

Forgive me if I am in the wrong but it used to be policy of the UHH that other photographers would not submit their photos in the same post in this section. It tends to distract from the photo of the OP. Do we comment on his photo or your photo? May I respectfully suggest you start your own thread and allow members to comment rightfully on your nice photo.

I always keep a pair of photographer’s gloves in my bag when needed.

Me too, I went out again expecting an amazing sunset, sadly the sun went behind clouds and stayed there.
