Dude, calm the eff down. Not disputing what you are saying. D'Sousa is far from a 'Clown'. He was merely pointing out one very d********g aspect of our history that has been conveniently glossed over.

Here's his previous video on the subject where he responded to a history professor about 'history books'.

Try to name 3 Reps of either national House that v**ed as a Democrat against the Civil Rights Act(s) that were elected as Republicans. The reason you cannot is simple. There is ONE. Strom Thurmond. All the rest remained Democrats until they retired, died, or were ousted by e******ns.

Of course you're right, but it's not like liberals to do any kind of research. They would rather shout lies and exaggerations then move on to the next talking point that they learned from pundits who are just as intellectually lazy or corrupt as they are.

We are living in an age of selective editing and historical fabrication. T***h is not something you give in unvarnished totality, it's something you craft to fit your narrative.

Both parties practice this manipulation of message, but the Republicans suck at it.

Ask yourself these two questions:
a) Why did the South (old confederacy) v**e solid Democrat from before the Civil War until the mid-1960s
b) Why does the South (old confederacy) now v**e solid (well almost -- Va & Ga) Republican since the mid-1960s

It's all in that History Book & it's all about Race!!!

You mean that you read them? I thought all you folks did was tear down statues and remove historical books that don't fit your controlling agenda. You know, rewrite history as you want it to be to fit your version of what it should have been.

Please don't say you thought. Many people who actually do think, consider that insulting.

Below, from Wikipedia here are the v**es for the Civil Rights Act By party. In case you can't figure it out the first figure is "For" and the second is "Against" and then it's converted to a percentage. Seems like the bill was much more popular with Republicans. Why would the r****t Dems move to the party that supported the bill?

The record of the roll call v**e kept by the House Clerk on final passage of the bill
The original House version:[25]

Democratic Party: 152–96 (61–39%)
Republican Party: 138–34 (80–20%)
Cloture in the Senate:[26]

Democratic Party: 44–23 (66–34%)
Republican Party: 27–6 (82–18%)
The Senate version:[25]

Democratic Party: 46–21 (69–31%)
Republican Party: 27–6 (82–18%)
The Senate version, v**ed on by the House:[25]

Democratic Party: 153–91 (63–37%)
Republican Party: 136–35 (80–20%)
Below, from Wikipedia here are the v**es for the C... (show quote)

This simply represents that throughout the south, people refused to v**e for "the party of Lincoln", until they found "the party of civil rights" even less palatable.

You can say that, but if you want people to believe it, you need to defend it.

Why should I have to defend it when you prove it with almost every post? "Come on man!" some things are just obvious and need no further explanation.

If Thurmond was still here, you could ask him why he left the Democrats for the Dixiecrats, and then became a Republican.
