I really appreciate the comment. Thanks. It takes quite a while at a good location to capture the swallows with f2.8 and f4 with 600mm equivalent focal length. just getting them into the frame is difficult, but the autofocus nowadays always surprises me.

The tree swallows always arrive here earlier than the other swallow species. It is still cool outside, so I can't imagine what flying invertebrates they are eating with this colder air temp. The ones that I captured here were feeding off the surface of the river, so something must have been hatching. And yes, the blue on the swallows when it is an overcast day is phenomenal.
