Wonder when your area usually sees its 1st snow? Here's an interactive map that will give you the average date over the last 30 years when it first snows there.

Since you live in my favorite place in the world, may I ask if Eagle River got some snow?

No snow forecast for SE Ks. but temps are suppose to get down to 32* tonight. This is my pepper patch as of this morning. Thanks to the extreme heat we had this summer the plants waited until late August to bloom. And did they ever, now there's hundreds of peppers on the plants that need 3 more weeks to ripen. Probably 80+% of my expected crop is still on the plant. Guess I'll be covering everything up tonight then hoping for a couple more weeks of sunshine and warmer temps.

Two inches of snow yesterday in the Denver area. Melted by 3 p.m. Snow starting to pile up in the mountains and the ski resorts have already tested their snow machines.

Snowed once here in Rohnert Park in the wine country of California. About 1/16 of an inch overnight. Melted by 8 AM. I feel sorry for all you folks in snow country. I was raised in Massachusetts and you couldn't get me back there at gunpoint.

We lived in the deep South for 40 years. I was raised in the Midwest. It is wonderful to have seasons again and to have hills higher than 500 feet.

A donut shop in Breckenridge Colorado has a sign that states that in 1996, 6 inches of snow fell on the Fourth of July.

Funny you should post this today. It snowed today for the first time this year. Not much, but it did snow. Colorado, north of Greeley. Cheers.
