A book to bring people closer than six feet.

I’m mostly confined in my house using my camera taking photos of my family, and pets and reading books. There is so much to say about how much our lives have changed from COVID-19 virus but it has not stop us from communicate with other people from all over the world. Well a young lady from Amsterdam with the help of friends and family has put people together to share photos and life stories by posting photos from their windows so that we can learn through the camera lens how we face life under unpleasant circumstances. The book’s title is VIEW FROM MY WINDOW, it was given to me for Christmas gift so I don’t know the price of it but I find it very interested to be read and see photos of how some of us are able to see the light and darkness everyday from our window.

I will not be surprised if many of you readers find yourself reading this book and looking at a place you may have been or come from.

Fortunately, I haven't seen any restrictions in my being able to go out and take photographs. Landscape photography is pretty much a solitary activity. Even just wandering around with a camera can be done without interfacing with anyone else.

I think people are making more of this confinement than needs to be made. Fortunately, my government hasn't issued any "stay indoors" edicts.

If govt did the "stay indoors" thing we'd all be in deep doodoo. Camera use would be the absolutely last thing on my mind. Just sayin'

I just searched on Amazon for "View From My Window" and there was a large selection of books with that title, or a slight variation of it. I can believe that with some narrative and/or description of the photographs, it would make for an interesting book.

My post was not to complain about staying home but about a book exploring people’s lives that are changed due to Covid-19 and how a young lady Barbara Duriau was able to communicate with people from all over the world. This book was a gift to me and since I have enjoyed so much I was hoping to have others enjoy it too. I have checked with Amazon and it was not listed but a book store in our area Barns and Noble had two of those books. Please don’t depend on my information I don’t want anyone to spend frontless time looking for it. I’m trying to post two photos of this book here, but since the photos are from my iPhone and transferred to my iPad I have trouble doing it.

Just got the first of my two covid shots. I must tell you all, that although this does not solve every problem, it has as if by magic, lifted the fog of pessimism off my shoulders. Even though I knew it was on the horizon, it wasn't until it had really sunk in (referring to the realization more than to the needle) that this began to happen. Stay strong my friends. Life is about to return. By the way folks, I am the most squeamish person I know regarding needles, but when the nurse told me it was done I could hardly believe it because I truly felt nothing.

I hope you have read my post with a photo of the book cover, I’m posting a photo of the back of the book.

I belong to a couple of these groups on Facebook. It is fun to see the different photos people put up from all over and share your own.

"In deep doodoo" ? . . . . Naaah . . watching certain channels on TV will give us enough excitement to keep us comfortably entertained for the rest of the year, if not longer. . . .
