This is a juvenile Hen Wild Turkey is one of the largest birds in American, and while they can fly, they rarely do. Turkeys prefer to walk or run; after photographing them for five years, I have all but given up trying to get a decent flight shot. Turkeys mostly fly in low light when going and coming from roosting high in the trees (need lots of light for good flight shots), except for deep snow, then as I found out, they have to fly. Thank you kindly
