There is a nice pond in the back yard of my Florida Townhouse and there are usually lots of birds feeding there. The other day I finally decided to get up and out with this new lens and try to capture a few pics. I was so concerned with the feel of the lens and the ability to hand hold it while shooting that I didn't pay attention to my settings. I should have been set to a higher ISO to yield a faster shutter speed. In spite of this, i am pretty pleased with the result for a first real attempt at using this lens. These pictures are cropped to take advantage of the R5. I struggle with LightRoom CC, but I did try to edit somewhat.
It appears that you and that rig are in for some more excellent photos!

Nice set. The lens/camera combo has a bright future with you, I think. Thanx for sharing.
Love your yard and the captures
Nice backyard. A fine set, too.
Thanks, I am enjoying it.

Very nice..
I have found that Anthony Morganti has very useful instructional vids on YouTube. Nice training and free. He is a good teacher imo. If you check him out go to his YouTube site and click on play list..there you'll find things nicely organized and a very comprehensive list for LR.
Nice shots!
Thank you. I will look him up
Nice! Oh I am thinking of buying this combination to start as you never have enough lens with birds except when you are too close!. (I still have my 100-400mm lens and will have to buy an adapter.)
