This anhinga at the Viera wetlands managed to stab this fish and bring it up out of the water. Apparently the anhinga's bill is rough or barbed to prevent the captured fish from coming off too easily. We watched for five minutes as the anhinga struggled to get the fish off of its bill. He swung it back and forth, banging it on the reeds, and finally knocked it off - and it immediately fell in the water! But the fish was not very lively by that point, so the anhinga, which dove in the water after the fish, quickly reappeared with the fish. At that point the [problem was to orient the fish into a head-first position so that it could be swallowed. The anhinga's perseverance finally paid off as he swallowed the fish.
Fooled ya. I bet you thought my eyes were bigger than my stomach...

By "Get series" I meant to say "Great series" in case you thought I meant "get serious"
Some days the words flow out of my fingers like thick mud!
