I posted this amazingly choregraphed dancing of numerous old movie stars to the music of Bruno Mars.

Each footstep and hand clap matches ever so well that one could imagine that it were the dance line of the old stars at the time. It's a job of putting together old clips very well done.

I hope that you enjoy watching it.

As a career producer/director of all things musical, I am stunned at the beauty and energy of this piece. The classic syncopation and editing is one thing but the number and variety of the clips the producers came up with is amazing. And I love the Bruno Mars hip hop generation vs classic Hollywood juxtaposition. Wish I had done it.
Thanks for sharing this. Anybody wanna dance?

Thanks, and I'm quite happy that you enjoyed it. I've watched many, many of putting old dance routines to modern music and frankly, they pale in comparison to the quality of this one.

I posted this after Mark had brought it to mind with his link and I tagged this then however it was possible that not everyone interested may have watched this one.

Well, I for one, really appreciate it. I'm blown away by the sheer work it involved, even in this hyper CG world.

He posted one that was similar but wasn't the "very thing" as this one.

Will there ever be another Fred Astaire? Is there a list of dancers somewhere? I think I caught some on Jimmy Cagney and one of Shirley Temple.

So true, "They don't make them like they used to" holds true for the Movie Stars of old. They had to be truly multi-talented with singing, dancing and of course acting. And, yes...you did see James Cagney and Shirley Temple in the dance scenes.
