Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA in 2008 – St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Part 1, the church and some windows
In June 2008 the secular chorus I sang with went to Hot Springs, Arkansas to join other groups to sing Hadyn’s “Creation”. We rehearsed in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, which is a stone Gothic Revival building. Its gable-roofed nave is dominated by a massive buttressed stone tower at the front, topped by a tall parapet. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The church is blessed with 19 wonderful stained-glass windows – in order to show all of them to you, I am creating 2 sets: Part 1 contains some views of the building itself and 7 windows, and Part 2 contains the last 12 windows.
