Since folks seemed to really enjoy these guys - and I have plenty more I will add a couple more - I wanted initially to give an overview and some information - often I see some awesome subjects and want to know when and where etc... In some cases I get that someone doesn't want to give up their prized location... as an example I have 2 areas relatively near where there have been plenty of Bob cat sightings and series of Photos captured - I have been to both areas but would appreciate at least a little help in getting me closer as some of the reserves are huge... its still a crap shoot as they obviously do no wait around in one spot daily like its their 9-5 job.
So I always appreciate when folks offer suggestions for shots, Parks, Rivers etc etc. where they have had great luck for Amazing critters - Especially Eagles in my case.
In any event - enjoy and keep those comments even the critical ones coming!
These guys are amazingly Photogenic

I keep wondering what their appearance differences mean - some have almost no white above their eyes and some have very prominent whites - is it a different between male and female or juvenile vs adult or mating or hierarchy differences... If anyone knows - please share - I love learning to identify my local and visiting birds
I think there's a strong argument these are even better!! Congratulations.

Great captures and rendering of these cool Owls. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your post. #4 and #5 are my favorite. Am I seeing vignetting in #4? Also would like to see #4 lightened. The flowers offer a special touch and you captured the eyes in both of the photos.

I do use photoshop for touching up certain thing based on each images needs - some need nothing, some need a bit more.
Some I use to get rid of lens after images (too many phases of optics and you get mirror or shadow images of things in front or behind the area of focus.) just one reason better lenses are so expensive I guess
I used to have.... tools. I learned decades ago in the darkroom (long forgotten now) but that helped achieve some similar effects. But digital is so much faster- cheaper and if you don't like the direction you can undo. I never learned to edit RAW so I just do the best I can with the things I know
These are great. They are so photogenic - they almost seem to pose naturally.
