We have quite a flock of Morning Doves that have staked out our feeders as their own. Lovely birds, its easy with so many to take them for granted.
This one posed for me yesterday.

Very sharp and nicely composed. It is "Mourning Dove", though. Not Morning. I know I am being picky; just thought you might like to know. Doesn't detract at all from a beautiful image.

Your correct Ken, thanks for the correction. I should know better.
And thanks for the compliments about the photo.
Mourning doves were one of my most successful carving way back in the 80's. They were willing subjects thean as well.

A friend of mine back in the 80's had purchased one, alive, that he used for a model while carving. I didn't know they were native to the US at the time.

I have a couple good pictures taken by someone else from then. I wouldn't dream of sharing the snapshots I took. I found a slide of the pc I entered in the open class at the World Championships. (it did not win anything) I have been trying to convert the slide to digital, not much luck. Could be the quality of the slide is poor.
