This is the tail end of an Earwig Bug that I staged for a focus stacking session at 5X.
Hate hate hate earwigs. But cool shot.

Heh heh ... I saw that happen on an old TV show called Night Gallery with Rod Serling hosting.

I watched that same episode...! The Earwig got into the fellows ear and was driving him mad. Then after days of torture and torment as it was eating its way through his brain....it came out his other ear! Finally, peace was at hand...it was a miracle. The doctor at his bedside caught it as it emerged only to discover that it was a FEMALE that had laid eggs inside the patients head. OH NO..!!!!

Thanks for viewing and for the interesting link. I'll be checking my bed before I lay down to sleep from now on.

Thanks, and I suspect that there are a lot of members in that club.

Excellent as always.
Thanks, Kpmac. Just wanted to show something a bit different.
I am grinning about the tv show! I saw the same episode.
It's been my understanding that the story of them getting into ones' ear and doing harm is essentially a myth. A quick check online seems to support that:
https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/what-are-earwigs#1. But most any crawling insect (or spider), fond of dark warm places, can become stuck in your ear and will need to be extracted by a doctor. So I expect earwigs can do it, as would other things like cockroaches. No doubt described online somewhere.
