Hi. I am new to the forum. I am handicapped and interested in going to the Nebraska Sandhill Crane Migration this Spring. I will be spending a Monday night in North Platte and am interested in places where I might be able to photograph the cranes from my car (I will have a window mount ball head) or along a trail that I can access from a mobility scooter (no walking for me.). I plan on being out till sunset Monday night and up before sunrise on Tuesday morning. I will have a monopod that I can use from my scooter. Any spots along a road or in a park (state or otherwise) that you may know of?

I will be using a T7i and my longest reach is an EF 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM and have a set of lenses (mixed EF and EF-S) down to a 10mm EF-S.

Travel on the dirt roads that border the Platte River. You should be able to get some Sandhill photos when they feed in the fields nearby. I usually travel on the south side of the Platte, but the cranes are on both sides. I suggest you travel east to the Wood River area. Possibly visit the Crane Trust Nature & Visitor Center. A link to their website is below. If you go there in peak season it is quick a spectacle.

Thank-you. I looked into the Crane Trust and their observation bridge is handicapped accessible. I really appreciate the tips.
